The National Ski Patrol award, citation and recognition programSki patrollers devote a great deal of time and effort to the skiing public, ski area management, and the national organization. In return, the National Ski Patrol recognizes this dedication, at all levels, through public expressions of appreciation and recognition in the form of awards and citations.This recognition, amongst one's peers, is not only meant as a thank you for exceptional service, it is intended to drive others to strive for continued and improved performance. More important, the awards presented by the National Ski Patrol are sincere expressions of gratitude and appreciation for accomplishments in the service of the NSP and the skiing public.
The NSP recognizes three types of awards or insignia:

PNWD Awards - Awards that are specific to the Pacific NW Division. These awards are for local recognition and not forwarded to national.
Regional Awards - Awards that are specific to individual regions. Like PNWD specific awards, regional awards are localized recognition and are not forwarded to the division.
The PNWD website includes this information to recognize these individuals. For more information reach out to your regional awards advisor.

- Those that identify patrollers with outstanding ability or special skills.
- Those that are awarded to members or non-members for distinguished service to the NSP and to the sport of skiing.
